I cried reading this. It’s beautiful. I’ve spent a lot of my career working in facilities like the one Thomas is at, and it’s a lot to see the way that childhood trauma wreaks havoc on little minds and little bodies. I’m so glad he’s doing well at the RTC and pray that he’ll be able to rejoin you all once he’s further along in the treatment process. Here’s to his healing, and to you guys for giving him the chance every child deserves: to know what it is to be loved unconditionally.
