So sorry he had that experience, it’s way more common than it should be. I can only speak for the States because that’s the education system I’m familiar with, but the issue of disproportionality in special education has been a big thing in the past five years. Sounds like your son’s teachers were engaging in the same kind of behaviors, rhetoric…creating “disabilities” that aren’t there to classify him as something other than a perfect (read: white) student.
