I know my worth because I am who God says I am, and that's it. A lot of women work because keeping the lights on and food on the table isn't free. The Bible does provide guidance for women but it also provides guidance for how men should treat their wives. The Bible talks about mutual submission. Women are humans, not robots, and we have emotions. You'd be hardpressed to find a woman who can sit like a lady and smile in the face of abuse.
