I was in a relationship with a guy who was a Hebrew Israelite last year. We didn't break up because of that, was more of a fire and gasoline situation. But from what I gathered from him, he just wasn't...asleep when it came to the horrors of the past or the things we like to pretend aren't happening now. I think that the Black Hebrew Israelites scare a lot of people because they prefer non-violent, Gandhi-type activism. The kind that lays down at the feet of oppressors and accepts abuse.
