I’m a former distance runner and the intersection of being multiracial and a woman at the same time made certain routes absolutely awful. In my case, the so-called “bougie” neighborhoods were actually the worst for street harassment and the most awful of it tended to come from middle-aged and older white men. I loved running but I absolutely do not miss the racism from my teammates or the street harassment that made me feel unsafe. I think it’s already been mentioned by someone else too but I wonder how much of the harassment you’re experiencing is race-based. The white runners I knew, but especially the men, tended to be able to wear whatever they wanted without any harassment whatsoever. Stay safe!
