This is true. We do have to talk about DV in both directions. My best friend is 6’1, tatted up, looks like he’d never lose a fight to anybody. An ex of his tried to kill him and prior to that, was very emotionally abusive. If I was in his position, I would have at least been able to get an ex parte order for immediate safety. As a survivor, myself, I did. He didn’t get the same protection, and that’s the kind of thing I really hope changes.
