While white people might not be directly responsible for the atrocities their ancestors committed, many of them still contribute to structural racism, not to mention microaggressions in all spheres of life. As for men…I don’t consider myself a misandrist but I do have a laundry list of awful experiences with men that do shape my outlook. I’m not wary without cause—my beliefs stem from a couple decades of abuse, control, gaslighting, the works. Sexual assault and child molestation are unfortunately very common. Most of us aren’t hating on men because of trivial stuff. There’s real substance to our discomfort and struggle to trust men.
